We drank the trent dry
That moonbright fatal night
You and I were mortal coiled
But long shadows cast and spoiled
Reaching up celestial high
I saw clouds in your coffee
Whilst your star rose in the west
My comet was one of unrest
Diamonds were my eyes for a while
All twinkle and glimmer and light
But Charlie song chimed painful years
And that familiar, achy feeling reappeared
